Yeh give that a bash. Sounds great right at end of the chain. On a different tangent the Jptr Jive sounds great at end of chain too. If you could get a Jive and a More to produce an offspring together...

My pedals use a switched-mode power supply, which is a little different than a charge pump, but which still uses an oscillator. The oscillator operates well above the audio range (don't remember the frequency offhand, I'm still groggy, maybe 80kHz-ish?) but when superimposed over another high frequency signal there may be artifacts that appear in the audio range.

As mentioned your London Underground is old enough that it doesn't have the ground loop fix in, so that might also be worth looking at to reduce weirdness when it plays with other pedals.

cheers - I’ll make that mod and see if it makes a difference- i did wonder if was two signals being superimposed over each other that was doing it.

Finally got my More home and anchored. What a nice rich sound it adds to my board! Note: I use the Magellan as a preamp here, the Sadowsky is there purely as a backup (I used it exclusively for many years) and to use the Tuner Out. The Magellan sounds absolutely great, but even "More better" with the More. First rehearsal tonight. If Venus had come out much earlier, I would have considered that, but I had to get through the season! I feel lucky to have the More on there now, and it's red, which is awesome.
I'm running it off a Cioks DC7 at 9V. Would there be any benefit to run it at 12v?

There is no advantage in running at 12v, the switch mode supply will provide the same power either way.

I’m curious - are most of ya’ll running your MORE around noon and/or as a master volume, or cranking it all the way up and reducing the gain elsewhere?

I run my MORE and all my other pedals at unity gain, it keeps things clean and manageable.

Played through the More tonight at practice. Nice big sound system (for a rehearsal studio). All I can say is that if it weren't already called "More" then you'd have to call it "Incredible".

Since this technology can do a good job of simulating a cab, do you think it could be used to build a pedal that would make a bass guitar sound more like an acoustic double bass?

That's a good question. I know some people use acoustic guitar IRs to make piezo pickups sound more acoustic-ish, it would be interesting to see if a similar thing could be done to get an uprightesque sound from an electric bass.

3 Sigma has a bunch of URB Ir's. I have a few of them based on an old German carved top uptight loaded in my HX. Good as they are. They will not make a pBass sound like an upright. But.. on a fretless ABG? no not like an upright but something very very good!

I've been trying the More before and after my preamp pedal (always into the Cab M that goes to the mixer), and I think it sounds clearer when it's after... that is, More is the last pedal in the signal chain. That sounds like what others here do.

Got sick of not being able to see what my settings are on my London Underground x, so I replaced the stock knobs. Decided to lean into the none-more- pink that it was painted.

Boring as black knobs with white lines are, that's where it's at for best contrast in low/stage light performance settings.

Only a couple so far I think. Should make for an easy workload and lightning fast shipping of the first batch.

I got a set of those as a backup in case I didn't like the pink.

I don't actually adjust them pretty much at all, but it is nice to be able to tell if something is way off what it usually is.

fixed it eventually! Still not playing nicely with the Vong, but it’s a Vong thing doing something to the high end I think, I wonder if switching it from 10m ohm input to 1m would help

You're not wrong. Our road trip scale is very different here though. In Europe you can drive for 5 hours and cross multiple international borders. In the states you drive for 5 hours and you're still in Texas.

The locals here think I’m nuts for making driving trips to Germany and stuff like that. But there are so many places you can reach here in one day of driving.
