Ever since I got my sushi box shirts and unintentionally ended up getting sushi the first time wearing one I've now made it a thing that any time we go out for sushi I wear one.

Hi Michael,
I came up with that name and Nathan liked it. Without getting to esoteric (because I could), it was inspired by my 2 daughters in a way.

Any other powder coat color plans when you reopen? A pink More with black knob and print (maybe white LED?) would be so cool… :drool:

I’m pretty happy with your recent colors anyways, though.

We are going to update the website with as much relevant data that we can.
We are not going to go into detail on the cab modeling but basic specs yes.

So I tried a few other tubes in it with no luck sadly; same crackling and lack of volume. Curious if anyone else has had non-tube related crackling sounds and volume issues with More.

Hard to appreciate what you have until it's gone, and I'm definitely missing it now.

I very much agree with Huey on this.

I've tried vintage and new production 12AU7, 12AV7, 12AY7, 12AT7, 5751, and 12AX7 in my London Underground, Slampegg, and Finally... after exhaustive testing I ended up with a 12AX7 in both the London Underground and Slampegg, and a 5751 in the Finally. I use the Finally for both bass and guitar (and a synthesizer just for fun) and to me the 12AU7 "rounds" off the sound way too much to use with guitar (or synth), though it's somewhat useable for bass.

I personally find the 5751 to be such an effective choice for giving a little better control/resolution on the gain knob (versus a 12AX7) without sacrificing any dynamics and clarity. And if you really want to further lower the gain stage, the 12AY7 is such a better sounding and responding replacement for a 12AX7 than the AT or AU, to my ear at least. Though in a live mix, most of those dynamics/details become fairly moot...

But as always other's mileage may vary of course,

I have a gig tomorrow at 10:30 AM…I will be going ampless for it.

My plan for Venus X is to open preordering for the first batch June 15 and start building when I come back from vacation toward the end of June, then ship by mid-July. Just need to keep myself busy until I start getting parts in for that first batch.

Still needs an HPF/LPF section, a headphone out, and a D.I., but I'm very pleased about the tone of the preamp itself. It's obviously going to be a while before I have a fully built up prototype, but I promise it's still on my mind.
