i always play with the bridge pickup slightly favored. I also play with my plucking hand over the bridge pickup and control my tone by varying how and where I plunk the strings. No one would ever describe my tone as scooped (on the Jazz bass).
So.... Who's going to come hang with me at NAMM next month?
Still cool with the lights on, but not as cool.
C'mon, the tube in your bass has to glow, too...

Got some road testing in on the Slampegg this weekend in a few configurations. Really liked it with my electrics, both passive and active running it though the FX loop, still on the fence as far as upright; upright still begs for a bit of a dry tone in comparison. Thinking I may be looking for a MORE pedal instead of this full preamp (anyone try a MORE with upright?), but I'm happy with it and got a few compliments too. Good stuff.

My UA makes no sound when pedal is turned on, the tube LED turns on but I get no sound, but when bypassed, I get sound. Any idea?
Try a different power supply, if there is not enough power the output can be silent or unpleasantly distorted even if the LED lights up. .

even with the power plug unplugged, when bypass signal passes thru
but when engages, signal cuts out?
With no power the pedal will have a very difficult time passing a signal through a tube.
when I plug in power its the same
I get no signal when the pedal is turned on, only when its turned off does signal pass thru
did something inside the pedal get disconnected?
If you are sure you are giving it enough power, you’ll need to discuss with @Sushi Box FX how best to troubleshoot
I will be there and checked the vendor list earlier today to see if you would be there. I didn’t see a booth number assigned to you yet. Do you know where you will be? Are you sharing with someone else?
How up to date was the vendor list? I'm booth 4246, just me, not sharing with anyone.
