Looks great, nicely done! It's definitely a cool project, I like how the circuit sounds.
I've had a couple people ask me if I would consider doing a run of Sushi Box-built Bassdudes for people to purchase, and I'm thinking about it. NAMM is kind of overwhelming the planning center of my brain right now though, so I'm not ready to think too much about it.

the label is a decal with a few coats of matte poly over it.
i found that running it with two 12AX7's it had way too much gain so i'm running a 12AU7 in V1 and and 12AX7 in V2.
i built the nobelium first, and while really liked it, someone made me an offer that i couldn't refuse so i sold it (i may build another one to keep though).

That is absolute fire! Looks so nice and clean.
LBA has some NOS Philips 12AT7's so when I ordered my transformers I picked up a few of them for the Nobelium. Can't wait to hear how it sounds.
Good luck at NAMM and pencil me in on the official BassDude list, would love an official version to go with my prototype. Will it be single or double wide?
Also I must have that tube Cascade Chorus, hopefully sooner than later.
I noticed these sushi SMB builds mention being pretty advanced builds. How would someone get started in the hobby of building your own pedals? Is there a good starter kit out there?
I’d love an official bass dude. I recently fell in love with the Adam Clayton 50 amp from fender and I believe this would share a lineage.

I highly recommend places like PedalPCB or Madbean for circuit board projects for beginners. There are a few places in the US that sell full kits like BYOC if you don't want to worry about sourcing components yourself. In Europe Musikding sells full kits as well.
Once you get the hang of building pedals and want to break into tubes, that's when you can check out the DIY projects that I designed at Conspiracy to Commit Electronics

I haven't participated in this thread in a while, but I think the last thing I said was that if the bassman preamps were ever available, I would get one, so here I am putting my money, and time where my mouth is.
Assuming we don't get cancelled for snow I have a gig tomorrow and I think I'll switch my London Underground X out for the bassdude.
For instructions that have a warning at the beginning, I couldn't believe how easy the build was. There are probably some things that it helps to have under your belt, but the layout was so much more intuitive than some other PCBs I've put together.

I find myself deep in the sushi box society and I would definitely pick up a bass dude if there was a limited run of them after NAMM.
This may be a cry for help, or just acknowledging where I’m at…but 6 weeks ago I purchased my first pedal (Elementary) and now have almost a full collection (snagged the Slampegg, Black Eye 2, and JC Emerald used and ordered an Underground Accelerator from sushi last weekend). A bass dude would be a welcome addition to the growing collection.

(A full collection of stand alone preamp pedals…have a ways to go with the double pedals like dream catcher)
FYI the D-Catcher is just a 2 channel pre....like 2 smaller pedals in one box, but a bit less versatile than 2 separate pedals in that you cannot run them simultaneously in series. Its blue channel is the same circuit as a UA. It's red channel is its own unique animal, but also with the same passive Fender tone stack as the UA.
Sounds great-it'd be even more useful IMHO if it was direct bass>>pedal..interface so we could hear what the pedal alone offers.

I have a deep dish that I turn the compression off. Since I'm not using the compression I would like to save a little space. I'm really just looking for a cleanish boost with a little bit of enhancement. I'll be using it kinda as an input buffer and to balance the levels of different basses
I know the More is the same preamp so it's the obvious choice, but the other three draw less current and have bonus EQ. I don't typically use EQ but it doesn't hurt to have it

unfortunately, i don't record with an interface. i just use a Zoom H4n in front of my amp.
The tube saturation with the More is far more noticeable than other SBox pedals imo. However, the More also definitely acts as a little bit of a HPF (for ultra-low frequencies) compared to the other pedals IME.
