Nevermind, I found the info on your site, I see it’s a Bassman circuit.
How close is the Nobelium to the Noble?
The main difference is that Nobelium uses a 9-12VDC input and steps up the voltage with a SMPS instead if 120VAC input and a power transformer. Otherwise they're pretty damn close.

I'm really curious about how the Furthermore will stack up against the Nobelium honestly. 3-band Baxandall vs Fender TS with fixed mids.... FIGHT!
Apples and oranges I think. Noble was designed to be largely transparent, just giving some subtle tube warmth with a tonestack. Finally was designed to give a more present character, it is far from transparent. Noble will stay completely clean all the time no matter what, whereas Finally has a gain control so it can dial in some grit if you want it.
Aaahhh okay this would explain alot why I tend to like the what I keep seeing called “focused treble” I like my mids there just enough like if not a little scooped but I also am tryin to get that breakup growl on my tone with goin into distortion. I think the UA should be the one to help close that head room gap a give me the slight growl I’m wanting a not lose my punchy lows. I love using alot of ghost noting so keeping the lows in tact is huge
More A/B testing. Slampegg -> MORE in the FX loop for both electric and upright. Good combination for both. Room was basically a small box so it was hard to hear everything but no feedback on the upright and everything sounded full in front of the amp. Had the FDeck on deck in case of emergency - fortunately not needed last night.
If you use the MORE at unity gain, for its rich, harmonic content, it can work anywhere in your chain. If you intend on using its boosting capabilities, to hit something hard, then that would dictate its placement.
I used the Nobelium on a gig yesterday on the double bass with my Remic Green microphone and adapter box, fed it into my powered MAS 16 cab. Worked great and sounded super nice. It's amazing how much gain is on tap with that little box. Since it's so clean it definitely gives me some nice options on the DB, especially in regards to microphones.
Today I decided to pull out the electric bass and record a demo video of the Nobelium. Just sort of ran through the high points to keep it as short as I could, but it's still about 5 minutes long... this thing has a lot of options available even though it only has a couple of knobs.

Bassdude: the kind of preamp that really ties the board together.
Is there room to fit a mute switch in any of these DIs? (Doesn’t need to be a stomp.)

Bassdude is not a D.I., but it does have a bypass switch. Nobelium is a D.I. and you may be able to find room inside the box for a mute switch, but it certainly wasn't designed for it. Grand Slampegg's design has not been finalized.
As I have zero experience as a gigging bassist, can you explain to me why a mute switch would be important in a D.I.?
As a stand alone FOH input for acoustic instruments that don’t have volume controls is what I was thinking.

As I was getting more acquainted with my Nobelium today I was thinking the same thing in regards to a mute switch. The DI output is always active and independant of the volume knob with its set volume.
At my gig this weekend it wasn't a problem because I was using a device between my double bass and the Nobelium that conveniently had a volume knob, but that isn't always the case. With the double bass, I'm always one inattentive sound guy away from feedback city on breaks so I always appreciate a good mute. I'll take a look inside and see if I can fit one in there with what I've got here at the house and report back.
