Thanks! Yes, it’s 24 fret, 33 inch scale, with Nordstrand P5, so it’s a medium scale. Alder body, maple neck, Rosewood finger board and sea foam pearl. All four that I currently have are 33” scale because it works very well for me.

My main bass, a 6 string, has a 33" scale. I've been a convert for years. I love that the higher strings are warmer, and I really love the character of the low B. It's less piano like.

I've got to ask.

I'm ready for a P bass that's a step up from a Fender (as far as attention to detail, lightweight, and overall playability).
Has anyone ordered a passive Valenti?
(understood it could be turned off)

My Sandberg, Stingray, and Spector have that active thing covered and I really like a passive P tone these days.

If you go back a few pages in this thread you can see my Red P5. I do have a preamp in mine but it sounds great passive too. I love mine. I can't recommend Nino high enough. He can do things that other builders can't or won't. For instance, My P has a jazz neck and EVO Gold frets(something I have come to like from my MTD 535 basses). As much as I love my MTD basses, my 2 Valentis are seeing most of my gigs now. They are lighter and they sound and play great..........so Yeah have Nino build you a Pbass, you won't regret it.

Seems like nearly every 4-string, be it J or P has a 1 1/2" nut (J size).
I've been having some hand cramping, and issues with my pinky finger and have found the P neck less painful.
(was playing a 73' P that came with an "A" neck and now, a 72' P)

At this point in my life, I want a GREAT player that can sound similar to a passive 70's P, doesn't cost a fortune, approx. 8 lbs, and isn't relic'd.
Other than an LB100 (which wouldn't meet the weight requirement without a special order) or a Lull (which comes stock with a 1 3/4" nut) any other options to consider?

I have one. Love it! Also it's under 8 pounds! Not chambered either!
