I never realized how much different the body shape is on these basses when compared to my Fenders. In a good way, but the upper horn reminds me of the "boner basses" Fender made briefly in the 90's

The "Ghost" Bass looks badass! I wonder if the head stock will catch on fire when the groove really starts happening ala Ghost Rider?
Heard someone else mention the Dunlop's . Never much cared for their other strings . Might have have to check those out though.
I am kinda mad that Nino forgot the purple headstock lasers and smoke machine pickup options he promised. Oh well.
In any case, this really is a serious bass. I have owned 3 Sadowskys including a NYC (and lots of other nice basses) and this is in no way inferior to any of them.
The finish is amazing....and it is so friggin' shiny!
2 days in with the new bass and I am amazed at the build quality and tone of this thing. Many of us gush about how amazing our new bass is on every "NBD", but this one isn't going anywhere. Amazing bass.
In any case, my 2 year old daughter "christens" the bass I am keeping for sure (only ones that have a metal/plastic control cover) and right away asked me when we could slap a few stickers on my new Valenti.

I never thought I would, but I've at least partially morphed back into a P-bass lover; after being a J only guy for the last decade and a half.
That Sherwood Green PJ5 I have always goes with me to any new venue because it's the only "hum-cancelling" bass I have; and single coils in a venue with horrid grounding make me nutty.
So: this bass has saved me from that a number of times; and there are venues I play that just have junk grounding, and this bass doesn't succumb to that.
Additionally, it's just flat out a great playing great sounding PJ that's bright and grindy enough with the tone pot wide open that I've actually grown into actively really enjoying it.

I wonder if Nino can do a fretless with a coated board or perhaps acrylicized wood. Looking to get a PJ fretless 5 eventually but I'd like something other than raw wood.

Too funny, I emailed Nino about an hour ago and mentioned that I will be talking to him very soon about a PJ5 or fretless Jazz 5.
I THINK I saw an epoxy boarded Valenti for sale, but I might be hallucinating?
I have owned a lot of different fretless basses and by far the best sounding/feeling board IMO is the epoxied board on a Pedulla buzz. I don't think the actual wood matters as that finish is thick as hell, but I would do ebony if I had to choose.
The only bass I have played that gets me even in that ballpark is my FBass with a diamondwood board.

My new bass is just killer in that respect. I went over the entire bass in minute detail and it is finished as well as any of my other (more expensive) basses. Just killer.
Yes, redwood. I think this one is still pictured on Nino's front page... I'm the first owner, though this was a bit 'older' when I got her. Nino built her for stock and had her around for over a year. Couldn't believe she was still available when I was ready to pull the trigger.
