The Valenti Megathread Part IV

Congratulations. What are the specs? I've had #198, a 4-string p/j (sadowsky pre and nordy pickups) about 9 months and love it.

VTP5 #209
Weight: 8.6LBS
Full Sized Alder Body
'59 Burst Finish
Graphite Reinforced Maple Neck
Rosewood fretboard
1-7/8" Nut Width
34" Scale
Nordstrand NPvJ5S Pickups
Nordstrand 2B Preamp w/VTC
HipShot B Bridge (19mm)
HipShot UltraLite Tuning Gears

Is the pick up spacing more forward on that or is it just my old eyes

I think it's just an optical illusion caused by the 24 fret neck.

It is different and more forward. I believe the original owner that spec'd it wanted to mimic the pickup spacing on victor wootens monarch fodera.

This picture makes it look a bit odd but in reality it is less noticeable. Sounds absolutely fabulous.

The orange V24FJ5 bass is 33" scale. Because of this, the bridge is moved a little forward. Also, the it has custom pickup placement bring them even closer to the neck.

LOL! Yeah it was pretty cool getting to use that rig Friday night. Peavey Mark III and a Black Widow loaded cab. Very happy with the bass. I've been toying with the idea of slapping a set of flats on it.
