... and of course Nino's excellent set-up and clean-up!
This is now my #1 bass! Fatstacks are definitely my favorite pickups.

In all the years I have never asked, are rotating basses within one group or do you use different ones for different groups?

I just bring whatever I want to play, unless the job specifically calls for some specific bass.
The Big Singles are "bigger" in the mids. The Fatstacks are cleaner sounding with a better slap tone (IMO). Switching is stacked coil/single coil. The single coil tone is louder and a bit more raw sounding.

I love my Valenti more and more every day. It's really got me spoiled though. It's so darned light when I pick up any other bass I think "wow, that's pretty heavy." Even "light" ones!

Man this thread is quiet!
I took a few months off music due to a new job and associated travel, to spend time with my 3 year old daughter, etc. just needed a break after a long stretch of late gigs.
I had planned to take the summer off and get in a band in the fall but that didn't work. A good guitarist friend recently joined a band and the bassist just quit. They have 10 gigs confirmed for the summer. I was asked to jam with them last night and now I have a few weeks to learn 20 new songs and brush up on another 20 I have played over the years. Actually looking forward to it as the band is really solid.
Oh, I played only my Valenti last night and the band couldn't believe the tones I could get from this bass. Funk, 50's Rock, metal, country, etc.
Still loving this bass after a couple years!

I can't believe it's been a couple years already. I've got my Valenti sitting next to me in the office today, will try to remember to take a few gig pics tonight...
Might even be longer. Now I gotta check.
Edit: nope, not quite 2 years. Feels like I have owned it forever. What a comfortable bass.
