What is a Verrazano?

That's a line that Nino did. Not sure of the status. Valenti NEWS

What is a Verrazano?
Apologies if I missed it, but a search didn't pull up much...
It was a short live line of basses I built but didn't really take off. One of my American made necks on a Japanese made body. The Special Run basses sold MUCH better than the Verrazanno Series. What is a Verrazano? Just the body made in Japan?

Too bad that the bass you made me a couple of years ago is so killer that I havent really been looking in the last year. Ha!It was a short live line of basses I built but didn't really take off. Great bass. The matching headstock makes it look perfect IMO.View attachment 1093429 After a month of heavy gigging Valenti #223, it still makes me smile. Where have you been all my life........?
I picked up this beautiful Valenti PJ-5 at the Northeast Guitar Expo last weekend. Aguilar Pups with tone for days! I've loved every Valenti I've ever had, but this one just has "it."

Is it "new" or "new to you"?My new bass.
It's New. It's on the back. He completed it about 2 weeks ago.Is it "new" or "new to you"?
I am just curious as I am used to seeing the SN on the front of the headstock.
Love it. Great colour choice. Enjoy! It's New. It's on the back. He completed it about 2 weeks ago.
Love that P-bass with the Nordy blades. Meaty and focused tone with a Sting Ray sort of vibe? So, to start, it's kind of ironic the way this bass found its way to me. I had been looking for the perfect, 5 string P for a while. And I'm picky... I really knew exactly what I was looking for, spec-wise, and really didn't care too much about finish. You have to have something that works for you right? As it turns out, I got the exact bass I needed, and the finish I wanted. I had started doing a lot of research on Valenti, and was really sold on what I found. But where to find one? I was pretty sure that I would just have to get one built for what I wanted(still might someday). And that is how I acquired this bass. I was googling Valenti, because I was wanting to go to the homepage, to start looking around, and start figuring out my build. And there it was, on eBay of all things, at the very top of the search page. Registered to eBay, and bought it immediately.
I spent all of last week bonding with this bass. After I received it, I had it set up low, with some Labella Deep Talking Bass Flats. I spent hours playing through a DI with some headphones to really dial things in to get the tone I want. I had two gigs this last weekend, and all I can say is.....
WOW
First thing I notice is how smooth and easy to play it is. The Nordy blades are super aggressive, which was a little different for me, but the tones I was getting out of this thing were incredible. I am very satisfied with this thing. The more I gig, I may have to keep updating this thread, just to brag about this bass.
Or who knows, to get one built someday.
Good work Nino...
