Bully was done in the typical Rockstar way. Free roaming missions with an expansive map where almost anything at some point in the game gets used.
I personally didn't like it all that much, it got a little boring and the missions seemed to drag on and become repetitive and without the blood and gore like the GTA series has they lack even that much more.
I bought it and played it through once, but since then it has sat in its case on my bookshelf.
If you liked GTA and don't mind the adolescent feel of the missions then I would recommend it. It's pretty cheap now anyway.

I thought the Warriors was like that - quite good but drags on a bit and only worth playing once.
When Vice City first came out it seemed amazing and I am "borrowing" my gf's son's PS2 to play it again now, it's still a great game but looks a little clunky.
I may be alone here but I don't rate PS3, the graphics are better than PS2 sure enough but not that much better that the gaming experience is more than just a small notch up in experience. There's no rumble on the controls either. I won't be getting one.
Eventually the graphic quality will be up to the level of video of real people - then the games will be really worth playing!!

Far, far better than any GTA game to date. In fact, I'm not sure there will ever be a GTA game that tops it for inventiveness and fun. Without a doubt, one of my top 5 games, and over 16 years, I've played hundreds.
Whereas GTA follows the same formula for it's missions (chase+kill/kill+escape/etc etc), Bully just has such imagination to it. I have just completed a mission stealing panties from the girls dorm for a pervy teacher-a gripping stealth exercise. It has a solid, fun combat system, brilliant atmosphere, an engaging and witty story...I could gush all day about what makes it such a fantastic game, but you owe it to yourself to pick up a copy and see.
Damn, my PS3 controller must be broken, seeing as it has rumble controls. Seriously, do some research before making a false statement about no rumble.

Im a gamer and love call of duty 4 (screen name: Lockness Mobster). Ive been borrowing my brothers copy but recently activision has dropped the price to 39.99 so Ill be getting my copy soon. I own and regularly play my PS3 and the oldskool Nintendo NES system. Ive got about 80+ games for the NES. Damn those games are fun! Currently Im still playin Metal Gear Solid 4 and COD4. As soon as I got MGS4, my GTA4 got pushed waaaay to the side. The GTA4 story is just so weak. Maybe someday Ill beat it. I did however get a cool lockbox with it! Games Im waiting for are Street Fighter 4, MK vs DC, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2, God of War 3, and Resistance 2.
I agree on 7 and 9 those were definitely my all time favorite FF games, and in general for a long time. But I never really got into 8, not sure why. I never owned it, only played it at friends. That could be the reason.

+1000, I loved the first two. I've played both through on each difficulty. GoW3 will give me a solid reason to buy a PS3. By then they will probably be half of what they're priced at now.

I still don't rate the PS3 graphics above the PS2 though, and my research consisted of playing ridge racer for 20 minutes and watching demos.

So what you're saying is that the PS3's graphics are the quality of PS2 games? And you're also basing your assumptions on a launch title?

What I am saying is that the difference in graphic quality of the PS3 above the PS2 is not enough, in my personal opinion, to make my personal gaming experience that much better that I am going to rush out and buy a PS3.....
I won't get another games machine for a while, until the graphics are a great big jump up from the PS2.
Graphics =/= gaming experience. I don't give a hoot about graphics, but about the gameplay first and foremost. Just because its pretty to look at doesn't make it fun to play. IMO, the more time they spend on trying to make the graphics really pretty is time thats lost on making the game fun to play.
The PS3 graphics quality is wonderful on the right games - but there are other reasons to buy one beyond that!
So it plays Blu Ray discs and you can see films in Hi Def - truly fantastic - saves you buying another player!
Also the PS3 can connect to Broadband and give you many differnet options on online play - as well as connecting to the shop where you can download stuff - upgrades and extras for games!
It also allows you to save music and video to its internal hard drive - it's definiteley a huge step up from the PS2!!
But of course if you haven't got a large, flat screen Hi Def TV and fast net connection - then you are missing a lot of the experience....?
