I used to be an avid CounterStrike gamer back in the day. Started in Beta4 back in 1999 or 2000.
It's been years since I played it though.
I do own a PS3 now and I really enjoyed Cod4. I also have GTA4, Fifa08 and a bunch of other games.
The game I'm getting next is Fifa09!

But of course if you haven't got a large, flat screen Hi Def TV and fast net connection - then you are missing a lot of the experience....?
A friend of mine has a projector, which is pretty cool for games.
So, new TV first, upgrade hi-fi for the sound and then games machine........
I played Tactical Ops almost religeously for 18months a few years back, but i hardly play it now, moved onto CSS, but got bored with that.
Now its either Empire Earth on the Pc or Rainbow Six; vegas 2, GTA4 and CoD2+3 on XBOX360

Just got the Red Rings of Death on my 'Box. Its hard going from playing 3 hours a day, to none at all. More time to practice, though.
I picked up a used Game Boy Advance on friday with Legend of Zelda- Link To The Past and Wario Land 3 (a Game Boy Color game). I'll probably grab a few more games for it tomorrow after school.
Just added 2 more GBA games (Splinter Cell and LOTR-The Third Age) and Star Wars for original Game Boy. That outta keep me busy.
I've been reading a lot of Galactic Civilizations II, and it's looking like it's going to be the kind of game that I really, really enjoy. Having loved Civ III, I'm hoping that GCII can compare favorably! I might swing by Best Buy after work today and see if they carry it.
I've also been playing Super Mario RPG on my Wii - what a great game!
I really like the demo for Spectromancer, too. It's a video game designed by Richard Garfield, who was responsible for Magic: The Gathering. Spectromancer has some eerily similar qualities, and it's a lot of fun to play. The demo is pretty deep, and will keep most people occupied for a few days. (Not like the Portal demo that I was done with in an hour!)

The hands down best game I've played in years is Mass Effect for XBOX 360.
Shooter/RPG with an amazing plot that you shape through conversations, decisions you make carry over into the next 2 planned sequels.
Great replay value, the game actually rewards you for playing through again (higher level cap, extra powers when you start)...and you get a chance to make all the tough decisions over again.

Well, I'm glad I searched dupe threads before starting a new one...I have seen post about Call of Duty and a few games here and there, but I am hoping this can stick....I'd love to participate with and also learn what other TB'rs are playing. Many more options now than 3 years ago.

Just finished up Alan Wake, much better game than I ever expected it to be. Also got to spend a little bit of time with the Gears Of War 3 beta.
I'm replaying Assassin's Creed II right now, then I'll replay AC Brotherhood. Now that I'm working full time, and when I'm not spending time with the girlfriend, reading and music take up all of my time. I don't get much time to play them anymore.
I'm really looking forward to Mass Effect 3 and Skyrim.

i was about to ask why so many people were still playing CoD4 until i looked at the time stamp... 
CoD:BO is my main game right now. most of my gaming buddies have stopped, but i still dig it. don't get a lot of time to play, though..

I just finished Portal 2.
Best game I have ever played. Extremely enjoyable comically and definitely an enjoyable brain exercise, and the new co-op mode is killer fun!
Highly recommend it. But I recommend starting with the first, shorter game.

World of Warcraft for me most of the time
but absolutely loved the God of War franchise, the Metal Gear Solid franchise, Dante's Inferno, and especially Darksiders.
Looking into getting Bulletstorm. I have Brutal Legend but just couldn't get into it, thinking about getting dragon age origins too.
