I just finished Portal 2.

Best game I have ever played. Extremely enjoyable comically and definitely an enjoyable brain exercise, and the new co-op mode is killer fun!

Highly recommend it. But I recommend starting with the first, shorter game.

I'm gonna get it for sure.

i was about to ask why so many people were still playing CoD4 until i looked at the time stamp...

CoD:BO is my main game right now. most of my gaming buddies have stopped, but i still dig it. don't get a lot of time to play, though..

I just think Black Ops is boring. I was able to sell mine in Feb for 35 bucks. It's not THAT bad, but it's bad.

BTW, I still play COD 4 and if you haven't played it, World at War is just awesome, and my favorite COD by far. You see everyone using all of the guns all the time, and the maps are amazing. Get a used copy off Amazon for 10 bucks. What's weird is that Treyarch made both and WAW is it's superior in every way.

I also finished Portal 2 last week, although not the best game I've ever played, it's probably the best game I've played this generation, along with Uncharted 2 and Metal Gear Solid 4.

I also got the new Mortal Kombat, brings back memories of smashing the SNES controller when I was a lot younger.

Been playing since my parents picked up an Atari 2600 back in the 70s.

Recently I been playing Black Ops, Halo: Reach, Blur and Forza 3.

I pick up most of my games used. Saves about $40 a pop.

I'm playing several SNES games at the moment. Just finished Super Castlevania IV (out of curiosity, does anyone know why it was called IV even though it was just a port of the very first game?). I'm on to another game off my list. I'm not sure if I'm going with Super Mario RPG or Metroid yet. I figure Metroid will be the easiest transition since I'm going from platformer to platformer.

mmm... Morrowind

In my opinion, quite possibly the best video game ever made.

Although I have high hopes for skyrim

I'm a big RPG fan, also space sims. Freelancer kept me occupied for ages, and X:2/3/TC were also great fun. Sandbox style games normally keep me interested for ages. And strategy games, RTS's in particular, but turn based games like Civ, and lots of others too. Age of Empires II is probably still one of my favourite games to play, i've played some of the most epic 10-15 hour multiplayer games of AOE with friends.

I enjoy FPS games on console as a multiplayer thing, play a couple of rounds of COD or Halo or something, but I rarely play them on my own. The last one I played properly in single player was probably Goldeneye.

Oh, and Pokemon! I want a new Pokemon game to come out, set in the original area with just the old Pokemon, as I haven't played any of the games since about the 3rd generation due to the fact that I lost interest in millions and millions of pokemon after Gold and Silver.

More Morrowind love! I've played a SERIOUSLY modded Morrowind, Oblivion, and now Fallout3, and am giving serious though to re-installing a modded Morrowind.

I love Morrowind, I played the crap outta that game on XBOX (EltonBrand FTW!!!!!) even though it drove me absolutely insane since for some reason every copy I ever got my hands on had the worst problem with freezing than I've ever encountered with any game!!!! I'd put that game lower than most NES games in reliability, and thats saying ALOT!!!

Just recently got an XBOX 360 though and have been playin alot of Borderlands and Fallout 3, though I'd definitely call fallout the better game, and once I finish 3 I'm goin straight for New Vegas next, heard it had some creators from the original 2 games which I played and loved, so looking forward to it.

And on another note, I've also been smashing on some Marvel vs Capcom 3 and Super Street Fighter 4, or should I say "getting" smashed online by those games. Nothing worse to the ego than years of humiliating friends on different street fighter games than getting my a$$ handed to me repeatedly and brutally over and over again by some kid online. :scowl:

I seriously need to play more bass, but have been unispired and tired. Been back on Fallout New Vegas, being evil as sh*t this time. Waiting patiently for the next expansion. Last one was mediocre, not great. RPS's are like crack to me.

Also gaming on Red Dead Redemption and Bulletstorm. Online mostly.

La Noire looks to be pretty Bad A (Rockstar, police "drama," supossed to have awesome "cinematics", open ended...). Anybody heard much on it. Out next month.

Man, I'm stoked about that game, looks and sounds like its gonna be another R* masterpiece. The whole finding clues, interrogations based off an npc's facial cues, all that stuff sounds awesome to me!

And out of curiosity, what do people think of this guy comin back?

lol, I only played SS on ps2, and though it was alright, it just seemed too arcade-y and cheap to me for some reason. Maybe it was the font they used in in-game text.

Thats just Morrowind. Or Bethesda all over

I learnt to save my game about every 5 minutes. Its saved me from extreme rage on hundreds of occasions now.

Oh, and Fallout: NV is pretty good, definitely worth playing.

If I don't feel like the playing the aforementioned games on Xbox, I usually play either Morrowind or Mount & Blade: Warbands.

Morrowind is hands down my favorite game of all time. Everything about it. The ability to mod to your hearts content, do anything you want, do anything in any order, go wherever you want, the seemingly unlimited amount of interior cells with the infinite amount items...I've never before considered a game beautiful, but Morrowind is.

There's also Mount & Blade. Essentially, there's a bunch of kingdoms, and they all pass time by going to war with each other. You, the character, can either start out as a steppe child, an apprentice, or even the son of an impoverished noble. In your adult life, you can then become a hunter/gatherer, craftsman, or even a squire (all this takes the form of a short questionaire at the beginning).

From there, the world is your oyster. You can become a bandit leader with low honor, pledge yourself to the mongolian horselord, take castles for yourself, help a claimant to the throne, et cetera. The graphics aren't too pretty, but it's an awesome game.

Yep, I think back to the amount of time I played Morrowind, and realise just how much of the time I spent doing nothing really. Walking around, exploring, picking flowers and mushrooms, running from cliff racers. I have never played another game where simply wandering around can keep you entertained for weeks. The environment was so rich, it oozed culture and lore. I still love it

I totally forgot about Mount & Blade actually. I was really impressed with it. Warband even more so.

Tru thing that is true: My girlfriend's Mom's boyfriend is a lead designer (or writer... can't remember) at Bethesda Softworks. I'm trying REALLY hard to get a job there



That said... TOTALLY looking forward to Skyrim. I still play Morrowind from time to time... Oblivion, not so much... i'm just not a fan of the post-apocalyptic FallOut universe (though i did enjoy I and II).

I don't have a ton of time to play things these days, and i don't have any of the most recent systems... and my computer isn't up to par... but over the past year here are some of the games i've played:

-LOTS of DS stuff... handhelds + tourvan = lots of gaming. I've played Pokemon Platinum (don't h8), Dragon Warrior IX, and Final Fantasy IV.
-I finally DL'd a SNES emulator to my Laptop last year so i could nostalgia the mid-90's... i played(still playing): Bahamut Lagoon, Mario RPG, Chrono Trigger, Ogre Battle, Sunset Riders, Tecmo Secret of the Stars.
-Stuff my PC can run... SCII i can get through the campaign on the lowest settings, but after i beat that there wasn't much fun in going back, SCI still play, Warcraft III i play on the reg, TorchLight, Serious Sam (HD, yall!), Deus Ex, and Morrowind!!!!


I think i may finally get an XBOX360... some stuff coming out REALLY has me interested... namely tES Skyrim and Deus Ex: Human Revolution!

Does anyone know if the 3 year warranty thing counts from time of purchase or from the last date they sent you a console?

Mine has never failed, but I made sure to get one powered by a 12amp power supply. The main reason for the RROD was that the consoles were overpowered (14.4amp models) and the consoles overheated etc...

No idea on the warranty deal, but request a 12amp power supply.
