The Walking Dead Series 2

The scene with Rick, Herschel and Glen getting closed in on as they tried to free the guy with the impaled leg was the best edge-of-seat scene for a while. Ouch.

Though I'd have just put the sucker out of his misery and got the hell out of there.

+1 I'd of put him down too. I also would have killed his friends way sooner than Rick did. Right about the time when the fat one said,
"... I'll kill all three of ya and take your damn farm."

Re: Tonight's episode, while it had the best zombie killing in a while, it was absolutely pointless in advancing the plot. I still just pray they start moving off the farm by the end of the season.

I did find it odd that in this episode they decide to highlight that fact that scratches may turn you (when they were looking at those officers or security guys). At the same time, they quibble about scratches, meanwhile both Rick and Shane purposely cut themselves and then were completely covered in zombie blood.

Agreed.

All of the farm scenes seemed pointless. Dunno, didn't get a kick out of 4 women bitching at each other for an entire episode. I was hoping T Dog would bust up in there and yell "WILL YALL SHUT THE FK UP FFS!? DAMN YALL!"

Agreed, but I think this episode was done to drive home to Shane the importance of keeping his humanity as well as the importance of preserving life I'm general.

That being said, less farm, more zombies and suspense = much better show.

im sure shane has his head on straight at this point. the drifting off staring at the zombie in the field seemed to be a symbolic sort of acceptance of whats going on. and i knew they'd have to duke it out eventually. one dude doesn't pork another guy's wife and there be no fist fight. im sure that as all good gentlemen are, they are fine now. and going to be. i suppose we'll see how shane acts from here on out. but pretty well all of his BS is out in the open now.

no idea what they will do with the kid. i thought they'd shoot him while he was stuck on the fence. better than letting him get eaten.

as for the farm, every bit of that needed to happen. have to remember that this show is 25% zombies and 75% people dealing with them and the world. they are clearly cold to the idea that they could die. they are dangling open wounds in front of them for bait. being in survival mode has to break down at some point and you have to become human again. like Lori said in season 1, they had to stop and bury their dead, regroup and try to move on.

I agree other than the zombie scenes (the running over that zombies head was awesome) last nights episode just added more to the drama and bore tank. I agree as well how they highlighted on scratches and back in season one about not to get their blood on you (remember when they were chopping up the zombie so Rick and Glen could walk amongst them) and then Rich and Shane are cutting themselves and covered in zombie blood. I guess just have to remember this is a TV show. I think something will happen at the farm with zombies soon, at least I hope something happens on the farm. I think at the end when Shane sees that zombie again walking, I want to believe it's walking towards the farm. Who knows, however hope this show picks it up soon. Still a huge fan of The Walking Dead and will continue to watch the show. Love it!

Did anyone else find the dust-up between Rick & Shane to be a little stiff? It didn't seem to carry the weight it should have, either.

There's something about this show.....maybe it's the performances......I still just don't buy what they're selling. The emotion always seems manufactured & forced. It's frustrating.

....or was it?

Why did all of those walkers congregate in the building? Who/what were the burned up bodies???

I have to say, Darth, I'm beginning to see where you are coming from. Part of my problem is knowing that isn't Andrew Lincolns real accent! Rick has been a bit wooden lately. Even Darryls rant at Sofia's mother felt a bit too forced and overly dramatic. And Glen just needs to bust a nut ASAP.
