The Warwick Influence! J/MM Sadowsky Metro

Looks and sounds great! I guess that between the Warwick influence and the success of Sandberg, it was time to go J/MM with a Sadowsky. The humbucker sounds like it is in the Stingray position, so I officially have another dream bass.

I don’t think that is a bad thing at all. Warwick’s tend to have the humbucker more in the Stingray position, and that is what I like.

For $4k +I’d go used StingRay5 Special and used Sandberg TM/VM5. That will set you back about $3.5k
And then I’d dream about those 2 great basses that I have. Dream on!!

That, Sir, is a great idea, but you would not have that 26 fret neck that help makes it so hard to balance. That said, how many people need to hit a super high A on the G string?

I personally don’t like the look of MM/J pickup configurations (enough so that i would never buy such a bass). And what’s with the knob layout? I have a feeling that it won’t be long before Warwick starts building “Sadowskys” that have very little to do with actual Sadowskys.

Well, I think some people would be inclined to stick with the established “formula”. I don’t, however, see HP as one of those people.

It’s a really nice instrument but when I look at it , I’m not seeing a Sadowsky.
To me, I’m seeing a Warwick jazz shaped bass with a Sadowsky preamp.

I seriously doubt if Warwick is going to stop making Jazzes, and P-basses with the Sadowsky logo since that is what made the brand. Those who don’t like more Warwick influenced Sadowskys can vote with their wallets.
