All good. Going down the rabbit hole trying to diagnose the hum. It’s not really that bad, but I have pretty rough OCD.

The hum isn’t really present when I bypass the preamp. Only when it’s engaged is it noisy. Thanks for your input!

Curious if you ever figured out the cause? I’ve got a 2022 mj4 on its way and hopefully hum noise won’t be an issue…

Cool! How about Warwick making a Sadowsky with pickups in the Thumb Bass position? Then you’d have the sound of a Thumb without the ergonomic quirks!

I did play one last winter. It is a good bass once you figure out the tones you want to use.

No I never got it figured out. I ended up returning the bass to Sweetwater. I think it was a case of me having OCD and that split coil neck pickup was not completely noiseless. It was a killer bass for the time I had it though!
