The what beer are you drinking (and or rating) thread.

Let me tell you.... I would not be drinking this beer, but the conditions presented themselves.

1. I am out of other beer in my fridge
2. My roommates and I found a 24 case of this stuff sitting in the ally next to our house. I dont have to wonder now why it was sitting next to a dumpster. I will never buy this, it is awful.

I think I remember when Linas was 17 on here...lol (btw, Sam Adams is the Starbucks of beer, Linas).

I'm drinking Yuengling now. It's my old standby. Great amber lager for the price. I've tried a few new hoppy beers recently, and since I prefer beer in a can, it doesn't get much better than Dale's Pale Ale or Modus Hoperandi...both brewed in Colorado. At least I can get Dale's here on the east coast!

Tonight I had....

Just as good as always :D

Some more of the Bell Octoberfest. Still a good octoberfest but I've noticed this brand of beer becoming more "meh" than I'd like. Probably because I'm such a hop head. Speaking of which....

Admittedly, not as good as last year's. Lower %ABV, not as hoppy, but a smoother mouth. IMO the pros don't outweight the cons.

Tomorrow a group of friends and I are driving to The Dubliner in St. Louis for a round of good times. I'll give a report on the beers I have there when it comes.

I actually don't mind the stuff. Not my favorite by any stretch of the imagination but I don't mind one from time to time if the price is right.

Today I had a Sam Adams Oktoberfest and I was pretty disappointed. I was expecting something much better. I am really getting the itch for some Hofbrau Dunkle lately...

This weekend I plan on getting two bottles of St. Bernadus :D

I had a few German Weissbiers last night. There was Paulaner Hefeweiss, Franziskaner Hefeweiss, Bräu-Weisse from the Ayinger brewery and a Hacker-Pschorr Dunkle Weisse.

I was most impressed by the Ayinger one, really good flavour in it, with some citrus-y undertones. Least impressed by the Paulaner. It was perfectly drinkable, but just paled in comparison to the Bräu-Weisse.
