Well because it was a gig in our home country, with a promoter we know really well, our fee wasn't as much as usual, but he made up for it by providing a fairly substantial rider! There was actually more provided than we requested! First time for everything, eh?

Dogfish Head Punkin Ale.

This brew rocks and a 7% you gotta watch it! Well worth a sample and I am not normally a 'flavored' beer type of guy.

Having a few bottles of Traditional English Ale (TEA) from the Hogs Back Brewery tonight. My first time having it, its an average enough bitter, nice fruity undertones with a dry finish. A bit bland for my tastes though.

How is the Magic Hat hefe? I've only had their #9.

It's really pretty great. It's labelled "Circus Boy", yellow label... Real quick wheat finish, not harsh, lemony and a bit spicy. A bit better than Blue Moon (which really isn't a hefe, but still wheat) I had the other 5 the previous day, hahaha....hence the Opa Opas.

Boulevard Pils and Schell Oktoberfest have been awesome. Just picked up some O'Dell Cutthroat Porter, Big Sky Scotch, and Sam Adams black lager. Mmmmmmmmm.

Have you tried the Sam's Double Bock four pack?

I'm not a fan of any of Sam Adams' Imperial series. They excel at clean American beers. The Imperial stuff is not a strength for them.

Always on the lookout for something different, I picked up a 6-pack of Kingway, an import from China. This stuff is pretty much Bud in a different bottle. Weak flavor.

They don't sell that here in Ohio. They brew it here but don't sell it. Go figure.

I bought a Shiner Family Reunion the other night and have enjoyed trying each of the varieties. Tonight I'm going to try the Shiner Kosmos and load the hookah with some gum/spearmint flavored shisha.

Young's Chocolate Stout. It's frakking dessert.

Pretty good, but if you like these you owe it to yourself to try the Rogue Double Chocolate Stout.
