When I was in college I was into jazz and especially Thelonious Monk. I used to have parties at my apartment and near the end of the night I'd put some on (only because I liked it and still do) but I started noticing my buddies would usually rapidly disperse, one night I put some on and one of my friends who was a metal head all of a sudden like he had been thinking about it for months said "and ESPECIALLY this ****" :laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh: and stomped out.

HUH?! ALOONG TIME AGO, when we wuz in HS we tried making a garage band. drummers cousins a guitar playercomes down with his gear & a boom box, we were in the middle of jamming & discussing stuff he plops down & puts this kinda crap on!! vWe laughed him out of the basement! he was soo dejected! AAARRRRRGHH!!

i will second my comment on finding some death metal hilarious (the singing). The laughter is involuntary. Also… the band names, album names, song titles are also hilarious at times.

- fcked by a knife
- forced gender reassignment
- a living breathing piece of defecating meat
- testicular manslaughter

thrash however is pretty broad and covers early anthrax, slayer (meh), and even metallica. I generally like thrash metal.

for me that terrible song is living la vida loca. Why? Cause one summer i worked in pei canada and there was only one radio station of note at work. And they literally played that song 8-10x a day every day for the four months i worked that summer job.

and i am a total metalhead… but some of the death metal stuff just makes me laugh to tears. I had a death metal compilation album when i was younger and it literally made me laugh so hard till i cried. 100% true story.

Death metal always gets me. Some of it is really groovy and I'm loving it to begin with. But when The Cookie Monster™ makes a guest appearance on vocals, I just burst out laughing. It's the best thing ever. But it's not supposed to be funny..
