Andrew Bodnar
Cool soul/R&B inspired lines with Graham Parker. "Stick to Me" and "I Love The Sound Of Breaking Glass" (with Nick Lowe) are two I really like.

Paul Samwell-Smith
Seems to be relatively forgotten now compared to some of his contemporaries, but a big influence on a lot of bassists who followed.

Nick Harmer (Death Cab for Cutie) great melodic player who does a wonderful job serving the songs.
Payam Doostzadeh (Young The Giant) rock-solid in the rhythm section that flashes chops every once in a while.
