I've only been on here a short six months, and in that time realized that, yes, there are several TB members who I wouldn't mind sharing a few cold ones with... and as blasphemous as it sounds, the conversations wouldn't necessarily be all about... the bass. There's more to life than a singular driving force, and if you really take the time to read some of their posts, you can almost sense the layers that make up these fine individuals. I enjoy logging on, perusing the 'Topic(s) Of The Day', seeing others enjoyment in getting new (or used) equipment... honestly, you can learn from other's successes, as well as other's fails... 'Now, there's an idea!', or... 'I'm not going to do that!'. A lot of good people, with a lot of experience and insight trying to help... pretty cool! I also think a well thought out thread/post, interlaced with a wee bit of humor is probably what makes me grin the most.

I'm pretty sure Mr. Sadowsky chimes in with his much appreciated .02, every now and then... their accessibility is such a plus for us, and it definitely shows they want to keep their fingers on the pulse of what's going on... pretty awesome, if you ask me.

Yeah, a lot of love for the company presidents, techs, and reps that log in regularly to solve issues and offer quick service options. The good ones also implement design ideas mentioned on TB.

There's one company (will remain nameless) that usually puts out stuff I like a lot, but occasionally will release something I absolutely LOVE at first glance, but as you learn more about the product, there's some function they omitted that totally takes the new product off my GAS list... I really wish they would ask some of us (or get some more bass-orientated staff) to take their products to the next level. Plus their rep seems to blame it on "user error" or just stating that it was designed to be that way, without realizing that adding just a simple feature would benefit their product and would not take away from it... But what can you do?

Yeah, it's amusing to see a few folks try to argue a technical point with agedhorse. It's like bringing a knife to a gunfight.

Talkbass is my favorite online forum and there are many things and posts that make me grin.

I have gotten much information and become online and phone friends with some great people.

Everyday, I check out the "Post a funnier picture than the one above - Parallel Universe Edition" thread to make me grin. Lots of funny stuff there.

It's always super cool how everyone is willing to pitch in and help answer people's questions. I've gotten a ton of help on here.

My favorite is anything that starts with "Rickenbacker __________", because I know within a very short amount of time that thread will be hilarious.

The misconceptions floating around about Metal are pretty funny as well, but I get that. Metal is a hard thing to like.
