Things that annoy you

Heres my top ones as of late... I work in a restaurant so that'll be the basis for some of these.

Parents. The world is not your family room. If I am sitting in a restaurant, I should not hear your childs death screams nor should I witness them running about. Yes, they are just kids... but you are not. Take them and leave.

People that complain about their service at businesses yet argue against paying enough to have better employees.

People that show up with $300 retro jordans and an $800 iphone while smelling of expensive weed and then proceed to order 3 rounds of top shelf drinks, multiple appetizers, an entree each, a dessert each then are suddenly broke when it comes time to tip.

People that ask for an empty glass and then use it to spit their chewing tobacco in. FWIW we throw those out.

The crazy amount of people that ask for one thing, then ask for one more thing when you get back... my record is 5. No joke.... 5 consecutive times.

People that completely fabricate a complaint ABOUT YOU in order to get free things. Listen, you're cheap... we get it... say the food was cold or it didnt taste right.. or say that you were bothered by some other guests. But dont straight up lie about somebody that could lose their job because you wanted free champagne.

Bands that play before you and then take FOREVER to get their gear off the stage...as if they're golden gods and the show is now over.

People that were in such a rush that they just HAD to pull out in front of you but are now suddenly in no rush at all and take a quarter mile to get up to the speed limit.

The paradox of people on this forum that are only inconvenienced by repeated topics or a lack of using the search function because they cant stop themselves from clicking the thread, typing the same generic response, and cluttering the replies. If its been discussed and you dont want to discuss it again, move along.
Awesome and legit rant... You are on point with everything mentioned  Many of the reasons I don't work in service oriented fields ... particularly food.

Member since Wednesday. Welcome to TB....

Later today I'm fooling around with a side project band at their drummer's house, that seemingly could only have more stairs to the front door if it were oceanside on a cliff :meh:. Good thing these days I'm packing my Genz Streamliner and NEO-X 212 cab, (which they will even help me carry), because we all know how annoying stairs can be to a bass player. *harumph!*
Get that amp in a shoulder bag and a Magna Cart folding hand cart for your cab and you can walk for a mile no problem, even stairs.

In the end his life was saved only because he'd let those people go, bound by their own code.

Doing the right thing got some people killed, though.
I can't recall if it was obvious they were only found out because of releasing the sheep herders.
I'd like to think Seals can move out of an area pretty fast after making up their mind to abort.

People who don't get the difference between a review and feedback, particularly on Amazon.

Don't give an item a two-star review because the shipping was slow, even though you loved the item. You're not reviewing the shipping or customer service; you're reviewing the item. If you want to mention the shipping or customer service in the review, that's fine. Just don't factor that into the star rating of your review - save it for your feedback to the seller. A product review is not the place for that.

When Sam Ash calls you to ask why you dropped them a negative review, even though you clearly stated why in the review.
That store manager called me on a Friday afternoon & seemed pretty torn up about it & tried to convince me that they hadn't lied to me, but they definitely did & more than once.

Yeah, I know, I should have learned my lesson the first time!

Sam Ash the actual man called you? He's never called me back once! *harumph!*

Edit: Just saw the 'them.' *whew* I was beginning to get a complex

The one I've frequented isn't really local, but I saw the same Gibson EB there for many months & every time I picked it up the chicken-head knob on it just spun around in the hole.

I mentioned it to the guitar department head twice, but it never got fixed. I've also came to know that the dude is really not a nice person & he seems to feel the same way about me.

took me a bit to find one like it, but here it is, same shade of maroon as well:

In my area the local SamAsh is home to the WORST setups around. 90% of their wall is unplayable.
The last time I was in the Phoenix store, the staff wouldn't even let you play anything.

I was there looking to buy a decent combo amp. The CSR had to go find their 'bass specialist', who then proceeded to pick up a Squier Jazz and demo the amps I was interested in by playing the same two slap riffs through each of them. He never let me play the bass or tweak any settings...I just stood there thinking to myself 'what a total dweeb this clown is'. When I asked to try them out myself, he mumbled something about their new policy. Needless to say I sarcastically thanked him for his 'expertise' and walked out of the store, never to have returned. Which sucks, because in the past I've had good experiences there, and actually bought my first two basses from them.
