Things that annoy you

Call me stupid if you like but I'm drawing a blank here.....
Ha ha ha, all I saw was a giant pair of space melons. The results of my Rorschach test would be easily predictable....:smug:

Little Miss Literal (or Little Mr. Literal).

I mean those people who deliberately take your expressions or figures of speech literally, even though they know exactly what you mean. It's very petty and annoying.

Heres my top ones as of late... I work in a restaurant so that'll be the basis for some of these.

Parents. The world is not your family room. If I am sitting in a restaurant, I should not hear your childs death screams nor should I witness them running about. Yes, they are just kids... but you are not. Take them and leave.

People that complain about their service at businesses yet argue against paying enough to have better employees.

People that show up with $300 retro jordans and an $800 iphone while smelling of expensive weed and then proceed to order 3 rounds of top shelf drinks, multiple appetizers, an entree each, a dessert each then are suddenly broke when it comes time to tip.

People that ask for an empty glass and then use it to spit their chewing tobacco in. FWIW we throw those out.

The crazy amount of people that ask for one thing, then ask for one more thing when you get back... my record is 5. No joke.... 5 consecutive times.

People that completely fabricate a complaint ABOUT YOU in order to get free things. Listen, you're cheap... we get it... say the food was cold or it didnt taste right.. or say that you were bothered by some other guests. But dont straight up lie about somebody that could lose their job because you wanted free champagne.

Bands that play before you and then take FOREVER to get their gear off the stage...as if they're golden gods and the show is now over.

People that were in such a rush that they just HAD to pull out in front of you but are now suddenly in no rush at all and take a quarter mile to get up to the speed limit.

The paradox of people on this forum that are only inconvenienced by repeated topics or a lack of using the search function because they cant stop themselves from clicking the thread, typing the same generic response, and cluttering the replies. If its been discussed and you dont want to discuss it again, move along.

So you’re saying it’s only annoying when small unmarried women or small men by that surname that annoy you?

Ha, I know people who still use the "could of" thing even after they know it's incorrect.
That is when it's truly annoying, knowing that they know better, but choose to continue making the same mistake.

It's very petty and annoying.

It's probably also annoying to them when people use incorrect terminology or insist on pronouncing a zero as "Oh".

This happened to me just today in a discussion about electric bass strings.
A guy said that steel strings were best, so I asked which ones since all electric bass strings are made from steel.
So, only then did he reveal that he meant ProSteels or FlexSteels, but also called me heinous for asking for clarification.

" Recommend Some Strings" threads.

Without a sound clip of the strings recommended on a particular bass it is all meaningless.

O.k....so you like Rotosounds on your Alembic. What does that mean to any of us here? I ask you....what does that mean to ANY of us here without a soundclip?

I'm waiting....

I'll ask again.....What does that mean to ANY of us here without a soundclip?

Don't mean to be a jerk but, well here we go....Watched Lone Survivor for the 2nd time last night. Why exactly is this guy a hero? Seems like he cost alot of people their lives.

I am hungry, but all I have are ingredients and do not want to wait or spend the time and energy to make something.

I WANT EAT NOW! :(

Ok, getting up to make something. Just voicing an annoyance.

Got a 14inch carrot, this will keep me busy for awhile. :woot:
Just stopped for a Philly with peppers on the way home from band practice. Got in the door and 2 housemates are making a big ol brunch of flapjacks and bacon, to which I was asked to join. D'oh! Bad timing is annoying.

Later today I'm fooling around with a side project band at their drummer's house, that seemingly could only have more stairs to the front door if it were oceanside on a cliff :meh:. Good thing these days I'm packing my Genz Streamliner and NEO-X 212 cab, (which they will even help me carry), because we all know how annoying stairs can be to a bass player. *harumph!*
