Wow. This is something I only saw (and drank) once in my life, when I was about 6 or 7 years old. And then longed for until the age where I was able to drink the real thing. There was something a little twisted about my father letting me and my brother drink that. I remember him being a bit "iffy" on it too. And he wouldn't let me have a whole can, just a cup of it.

Johnny Carson once joked, "Now, how do I describe Zodys? It's like Kmart, without the warmth." Johnny would also joke about a "Zodys Thankgiving Day parade" as compared to the Macy's parade. Funny stuff!
 
I regularly visit Robinson. It's home to the only remaining/operational Dog-n-Suds in the area.

WOW! I used to get a root beer float there in the '50s as a special treat on Sunday coming home to Palestine from Grandpa's store. Hah! Good ol' Dog-n-Suds!! My old Palestine address --- 410 E. Lamotte St. House is still there tho outwardly changed some in appearance.
