Close to my parents 1978 Ford Fairmont. Emerald Green everything. Even the 8-track deck was green.

When I was a young child I rode in a car like that, that was bought used.

And, sadly, the North Stars themselves... (No, that team in Dallas does not count!) Growing up in the Midwest in the 60's, I was just old enough to be aware of the North Stars and Blues coming in the NHL in 67. Was a loyal, albeit distant, fan up until the move. Still have a jersey that I wear from time to time...Badly airbrushed hockey cards

Oh man... many happy memories of flying those kites at the Jersey Shore (Cape May, Wildwood)
I can relate. All those hours of assembly, prep and paint, then about 10 minutes of enjoyment before it turned into rubble. Looking back, building the durn thing was much of the fun and dreaming in my head about it being a real plane.

Leaded gasoline! Finally banned in the USA, 1996.
WOW! Many of us grew up breathing air with lead in it. No wonder the issues of human beings' mental and physical health!

I used to work with molten lead, lead ingots, and lead printing type and breath in the fumes all day. Not good.

We've all been exposed to "crap"......including atmosphere nuclear bomb tests.
I had one of those until 2009. Someone actually stole it.
