Things You Don't See Anymore Part 3

Okay here it is, the back round story, When I was in school I took a Basic Electricity class. Our teacher had one of these to demonstrate how current flows.

It is a hand crank generator. Now he had a "Manly test" he came up with, he would disconnect wires and had us hold on to the poles to finish the circuit. No one including me, could hold on to it long enough to get the light bulb to work , but not like we didn't try numerous times to get and "A" for the course. This thing was a lawsuit in the making in this day and age no doubt. Anyone else have this experience learning about electric in the 70's?
