I built that- and about 30 other balsa wood planes. Mostly Guillows. That Corsair was one of my favs though. It was small, and came out really good for some reason. I have some really fond memories of building those planes.

they are fun to build - I have a piper cub all framed up but never did cover it with tissue. I moved on to the big R/C planes since then. I showed up to the flying field with my Tower 40 trainer and my instructor was amazed that "someone actually built a kit". It took all winter but it was a thrill to see it fly for the first time.

Yes, you are correct. Bugles are still sold here. They come in many flavors. I have a few bags of the jalapeno cheddar Bugles at home right now.

They still have Silly Putty, but you can buy bulk or any size you want here. And also in a a huge assortment of colors, even changing reactive colors
