Yeah but don't forget back in 1950's when AMC motors came out, people like my Dad who fought for our country jumped on the band wagon because it was called American Motors in good old Wisconsin they were a lot more gun ho about made in the US back then. His 60's Rambler wagon I have posted about was AMCI always thought they were cool though too!
Though... My aunt and uncle had one of these when they first came out. Nothing but problems.
A friend of my had a Gremlin and his wasn't that bad.Gah! haven't thought of AMC for a while. My girlfriend back in the day had a Hornet wagon that wasn't too bad, but my brother also had a Gremlin that was basically a giant mechanical turd on wheels.

Another one really I like the Go Pac Javelin this was a true muscle car a neighborhood guy Oscar (RIP), had a 68 or 69? he used to bring to English town race way and it ran stock, 15's in the quarter mile he didn't make it home from Nam.Ugly as $#%%~^...
