Things You Don't See Anymore Part 3

A bunch of absurd and probably non-licensed "Beatles" products that you will not see anymore.

Pop Rocks are still made and are similar; but, Space Dust (and, Cosmic Candy) was basically crushed up Pop Rocks.
It was instantly a huge success, but it didn't take long for train to go off the rails.
First, Parents complained that the name "Space Dust", along with the appearance of the candy, was too similar to illegal drugs such as Angel Dust. Accusations were even made that the candy, because of its similarity to powdered drugs, would lead kids into real drug use.
As a result, the name was changed from Space Dust" to "Cosmic Candy".
That problem seemed to be solved, but more trouble was brewing. A rumor started going around that the candy was unsafe, and that a kid died while consuming the candy while drinking a soda. (I heard it was Mikey from the Life Cereal commercials). These rumors once again got parents in an uproar over the candy (just chill, parents). It got so bad that Bill Mitchell, chemist and creator of Pop Rocks and Cosmic Candy actually took out a full page newspaper ad in the Feb. 6th edition of the Pittsburgh Press in 1979, explaining that the entire thing was not true. He explains how he started making the candy back in the 1950's for his kids, and how it was perfectly save despite all the rumors about it.

I remember that rumor! Pop Rocks + Soda = DEATH BY CARBONATION!!!

Don't forget to add kids and teenagers as well. Okay we rarely see them on bikes. Most times it's their IPad.
I know right? My 13 year old and I have been watching Stranger Things and she was astounded that the kids in that show rode thier bikes everywhere! As if! I think I had worn out a half dozen bikes by the time I was 13. Mine prefers to walk. What they don't know is that bicycles = freedom and adventure!
Try trails and obscure places. My kid and I go on trails, paths, woods, down hills, etc.
Yeah, we live in a fairly urban area and even I don't really care for riding my bikes here! We've got a place up in the country as well with lots of trails nearby. She just needs a half decent mountain bike!
Yeah I got mine one after she complained how hard her bike was to ride and when I saw how she was bigger than the bike I asked everyone that would normally buy her a gift to just donate to the bike fund. I got her a $600 plus Specialized bike. she loves it!
