I grew up in the '70s looking at Flagg Bros. catalogs and perusing the store in the mall. I know that a lot of people wore high-waist bellbottom pants (or flares), wide-collar tops, etc. But I don't think I ever saw anyone actually wear any of the more outlandish stuff.

Then again, I grew up middle-class in Sacramento, CA, so...

Highschool, in the 70's, lots of guys wore those types of outfits. I think they looked sharp. I'm not ashamed to say I still think they look sharp.

I stole a pair of these from my sister in 1974 when I was 10, except the soles were white.

My sister's own an exact pair of these and when they grew out of them I put them on and messed around. There is also a hill that leads to our street and I wore these down the hill: BIG MISTAKE!

I can Rollerblade down that hill no problem, but these things it was scary!
