In Canada, they have Maple Wheaties that taste like Buc Wheats but even better.

Who remembers Clackers (Graham Cracker Flavored ) Cereal and these commercials?

Hmmm... I just spent about an hour in one of those stores in a LI mall, last week.

I remember that all too well. I wonder what year that was, because I have a really clear, stupid memory about it. And I wonder how old I was.

I saw the commercial on TV, and told my mom I wanted to mix the baby powder we had in the house with water, and shake it up, cuz it would make the neat gooey sticky stuff. All I had to do was shake it, and put it in the refridgerator. She wasn't having it. Tried to explain to me why it wouldn't work, but I wasn't having it....

So I went to my grandmothers house next door, and convinced her to let me do it with her powder . Not sure why she allowed it, but she did. She gave me a little empty ricotta container (it was the tupperware of the time) to put some of her powder and water in. I did, shook it up like crazy, stuck it in her refridgerator, and waited. And waited. And waited. The next day I realized my mom was right. I needed the special "super stuff" powder in order to make it. She bought it for me. My mom was so smart.

Just looked closely and saw it said 1966. I was 5 years old. That's too old to be that stupid.... maybe it came out a year before....

I don't think kids today do anything like that? We spent most of our young life's outside figuring out ways to have fun. When I was a kid I went out of the house in the morning jumped on my bike and didn't show up till dinner time. We played every sport that was in season and unless you were sick you were outside!

Did that with my kids, nieces, sister, and bro in law not too long ago with a toshiba tv box. The hill was about 45degrees and 75yds long. Too bad I didnt have a truck tire or I woulda climbed in and rolled down.
