I had Dracula and The Creature (black lagoon?).
Also had a few other "scary" models, I remember one particular was a scene of a witch and her cauldron, had several glow in the dark pieces.
I also had the lawn darts too! Amazing I survived as a kid in the '70s.

Hey, found a picture of the witch model I had, although this one was obviously painted quite a bit (mine was pretty much all black except for the white "glow in the dark" pieces.
I did models ever since i was real young, but my parents didn't let me use model paint for the longest time, I think my older brothers may have abused the privilege and I had to pay the price you know.
Oh yeah, I had this bad boy too. It was huge!

Amazing any of us survived...or worse, tossed in a Juvenile Camp because we played with.....guns.
LOL, great point.
It almost seems like a whole 'nuther world when I think back to the realistic toy guns me and my friends had.
I had several revolvers and rifles made out of metal with real wood stocks, they looked more authentic than many of the black/synthetic stocked actual guns available today!

The Monster Models kits were reissued are still being made.
Wacky Packages also are still being made with new products.
I still have my original Wacky Packages from the late 60s that are very collectible and valuable. The first series cards were reissued and reprinted but the original cards are the collectible versions.

Hey, found a picture of the witch model I had, although this one was obviously painted quite a bit (mine was pretty much all black except for the white "glow in the dark" pieces.
I did models ever since i was real young, but my parents didn't let me use model paint for the longest time, I think my older brothers may have abused the privilege and I had to pay the price you know.
I built that, and every other model in the fm series. I built literally hundreds of models when I was a kid. One a week, for the most part. Was a friday ritual for me, bugging my mom till she couldn't take me anymore and gave me the $4 to shut me up. I always won too. Still don't understand why she didn't just give in the first 10 seconds.
My favorites were Revell motorcycles. This one topping the list, although it came without the lady on it
. I liked this picture though so I'm posting it. It's the revell chopped hog. And a pretty girl.

Wow! Some cool stuff, much of which I'm not recalling. My toy window was mid-60s until, I guess, 1969? Man, those 4-5 years seemed like a lifetime.
By 1970, I was pretty full on for music-related things.
Cool Beatles models. A little surprised they got McCartney left-handed & with a bass, too!
That T-Rex is too impressive…as is Joe's Orion Slave Girl on that bike.

My older brothers had Rube Goldberg models that worked. They were super-goofy-cool.

Might be the only gamebook fan here (actually collector). Never was big in the US but maybe some british person knows what the hell i'm talking about (they almost all originated in the UK)....Actually the ones i collect are mainly in french since thats the ones i had as a kid (aside from britain, gamebooks were huge in france and by extension, french canada since they published them here too).
