While we're on the subject...I vaguely remember these ones...
Doubt you ever used to see it. But in the movies you never see anyone load a cap and ball revolver or crank start a model T. Brought home to me when I watched Perry Mason running out of Fatty Arbuckle's house yelling "Start the truck. Start the truck"

Nice to know that where there is now a neighborhood* Scientist were producing atomic explosions everyday of the week, except Sunday to rest.
* (probably, do not know for sure but the way development has been happening would not be surprised if houses are in the zone.)

Wow! Thanks for the memories. I was a heavy user of VisiCalc, the original spreadsheet before all the other "covers" came along. Groundbreaking program. I guess Lotus 123 was the one that hit the Billboard charts but most people nowadays only know of Microsoft Excel.
Space: 1999, which probably should've been called Bellbottoms in Space.
So funny to see all those futuristic visions. 1999 indeed. They couldn't imagine 2020!

After seeing Martin Landau and Barbara Bain in movies, and Mission Impossible, I admit I was sad to see them in this.
Apparently, they expected everyone in the future to be in good shape, judging by the form-fitting jumpsuits you see in many futuristic renderings.
But I saw them in Space 1999 first.
Kind of reminds me of a reporter who asked them why they were at the movie premier for Mission Impossible.
Because they first invented those characters on the Mission Impossible TV series in the early 70’s.
They felt insulted. I can’t blame them.
I could name the reporter - but I won’t.
I have been counting down for them shiny jumpsuits since 1998.
"Only two more years we will have them." then 1999, "Next year we get the shiny jumpsuits!"
Then finally, the year 2000... "SHINY SUITS ARE HERE!"
But they never came...
Still hopeful... some day... but the excitement is gone.
