Mr. Pibb Soda Pop was introduced by the Coca-Cola Company in 1972, which wanted to launch a new product to compete with the success of Dr. Pepper.

The drink's original name was Peppo, but that was a little too close for Dr. Pepper manufacturers, and they decided to sue Coca-Cola. The name was then changed to Mr. Pibb.

In 2001, the company underwent another name change and became known as Pibb Xtra. It was called Xtra because the formula was changed as well, and more cinnamon flavor was introduced. They considered the taste to be bolder, hence the "Xtra." Today, the drink is marketed as "an intensely flavored, refreshing, spicy cherry alternative to regular cola"

I still have one of those wooden boxes. My dad used English Leather and I kept one of the boxes.

My neighbors were from England. In stereotypical fashion, the whole fam seemed to constantly be eating candy. Mostly hard candies, but they always had a box of English All-sorts at the ready. I became addicted!

There are several companies that make them. They seem to be like the ones I ate in the 60s.

Pepsi Fire was a Pepsi flavor that was released alongside Pepsi Ice internationally for a limited time of 2004 and was discontinued in 2005. In Summer 2017, Pepsi Fire was later brought back for a limited time again in the United States and became discontinued again.

Courageous cat and minute mouse.
Watched as a kid. Later found out it was made by Bob Kane, creator of Batman and made as a parody of it. Shown here in the catmobile. His arch enemy was a frog voiced by Edward G. Robinson.

The other Saturday shows of interest were Thunderbirds, and Fireball XL5. Puppets, Marionettes and the most detailed model and miniature work.

Those are really easy to find around here.
I'm not a fan of the coconut based ones.
But I like the ones with the beads on them--they go by different names--and stores around here sell packages of just those--and call them Same Sorts.

That was my first multitrack circa 1983. Definitely made it affordable for more people in the early 80's.
