If you're looking on an iPad wiggle the screen side to side about 1/4" and it jumps right out!
Also if you shrink it down the animal appears too.

It works by slight reductions of the spaces between the zigzag lines. I took the pic, reduced the size, and did an averaged blur of the lines. You can probably achieve a similar effect by stepping back from your screen a few feet. At a far enough distance, squinting isn't even necessary.

I just saw this video the other night and while not a huge fan of a-ha the lead singer has a great set of pipes and huge vocal range!

Quit panda-ring to our optical weaknesses!
When I back away from the image about 6-7 feet, I see it clearly. Looking at it up close gives me a headache, and I don't normally get headaches.
This works, too.I couldn't see it until I took my glasses off.
