FWIW, I spent six months on USS Enterprise. This one:

I hated the Romulan one. It looked cheesy, but the entire episode is one of my favorites. Mark Lenard was great as the Romulan commander. Glad the producers went the Klingons on that one. As far as the Doomsday machine. It was ok. The first time I watched it though , all of sudden I got hungry for these guys.

All weapons systems get performance upgrade mods.Damn, what I would have given to have that model of the Enterprise as a kid!
EDIT: I just noticed those spear-like protrusions from the fronts of the engine nacelles. Those were not in the show. This must be a fake!
The British Vox Musical Instrument Company wanted a promotional car to push their groovy guitars, organs and amplifiers to U.S. buyers. The Voxmobile could not only handle eighteen guitars blazing through mounted tube amps, it could cruise slow in a parade or get the band to their next gig in a hurry with it’s high-performance Ford small block.
One of the most interesting Barris cars was The Raiders Koach, built for the pop band, Paul Revere and the Raiders. It was set up as a dual-engine six-wheeled coach, equipped with the bands instruments and amps. The two Pontiac GTO motors were engineered to pull the coach with the front “truck” section while the driver steered hydraulically from the rear coach section.

The pièce de résistance was the Batmobile. The Barris 1966 TV Batmobile is the most recognized custom car on the planet. Show someone the Barris Batmobile and the recognition is immediate.
Did you know the original Batmobile was based on a 1955 Lincoln showcar? The Futurama.
The Batmobile-to-be was the brainchild of Lincoln Mercury chief stylist Bill Schmidt. Inspired by an encounter with a shark while scuba-diving, Schmidt’s sketches for a futuristic concept car included a chrome shrouded full width grille that resembled a marine predator, especially when combined with hooded headlights and outlandish, canted tail fins.

My dad is 67. Back in the day, he had 2 ‘57 Chevy’s, a ‘68 Chevelle, a ‘71 Mach 1, and a ‘69 Camaro SS… and sold it all and bought a late 60’s Dodge Dart just before he and my mom got married because “they needed a family car”. Now he drives a ‘21 Toyota RAV4.
My mom is 68 and back in the day she had a ‘68 Corvette, a ‘74 Firebird, and a ‘68 Camaro Z28… and sold it all and bought an early 80’s Dodge Colt before she married my dad because “they needed an economical car”. She now RARELY drives a 2002 Toyota Solara Convertible.
