I’ve always wanted a Rickenbacker amp. I’m surprised that they didn’t make one for Ric-o-sound….or maybe they did?

Just found pictures of my very first gig. I played guitar. And I built the flashpots - which is something you don't see anymore 
. Anybody remember them?
For those who didn't have as much fun as I did when they were 16...
You bought firecrackers, spilled mom's coffee all over the floor (by accident) and took the can, got a block of wood, nails, springs and model rocketry fuses. You then cut the coffee can in half, glued a block of wood inside, screwed 2 springs into the block, stuck a fuse inside, and covered the fuse with the gunpowder of a few packs of firecrackers. Ya then took your Lionel train transformer, disconnected it from the track, and connected it to the springs instead. Plug it all in, flip the levers to full, and ya got those really cool flashes that nobody was ever able to time perfectly.
The flash in the pic was of course at the start of Detroit Rock City.

No flash pots but we had a John Belushi type friend that would do outrageous, funny stuff at our shows…Dang great times!
…..or an audience requesting an encore using lighters…

I sure wish we'd see this more. It's really not fun to watch folks sit down at a show and before even acknowledging that there's a band, they whip out their phones and do whatever it is that people do all day on those things. What is so damn important it can't wait 15 minutes or even a couple of hours?A crowd of people without cellphones.

I remember our drummer thought it would be cool to have flash pots, and he decided that in addition to the gunpowder, he would add little bits of tin foil. They went off as planned (Suffragette City!) and afterwards his cymbals all had dozens of little burn marks on them. This was at a highschool concert, and it was videotaped on a reel-to-reel betamax precursor (supplied by a local community TV station)

I have a set of 4 flashpots in my basement. I will give you a good deal on them.
Music Man 115 RP amplifier. These had a built in phase shifter which was a cool feature in the late 1970s.
