Since this is the 808th page of this thread, I thought I'd post the famous Roland TR-808 Rhythm Composer drum machine heard on many big hip-hop hits. You might still see them, but the originals were discontinued in the '80s.

I've got a set of samples from that machine that let me program an 808 track without an 808.

They also set up Eastern Bloc, a really cool record shop in Manchester, just googled it and it’s still going nearly 40 years later. I bought my copy of The Stone Roses there back in the day (US import vinyl with one extra track, serious cool points!)

I had the blue one . Could not pull a decent wheelie on that thing. The central shifter was a brake. Pretty useless .
