How do you get the hood (Bonnet) to close with that air cleaner sitting so high up on the engine?
BTW, most of the builds on the auto shows like "MotorTrend" routinely upgrade classic muscle cars to 1,000 HP and use lots of crate engines.

I guess one just drives around with the hood up? Does seem a bit silly. Agreed, though, a brand new factory crate engine (and the ZZ632 is a cool one) isn't among the things I think of when I think of "things you don't see anymore". I see that ZZ632 (among others) in every car related publication to which I subscribe.
I'm guessing that the hood has a Ram Scoop on it that is hardly visible in the picture.
Nailed it. Found it on Youtube (started at SEMA, but no joy, but it came out a while ago). Posted photo's underhood interior is way too dark to make out the relief for the air cleaner but it's definitely there.
Well I was referring to the ‘69 SS Chevelle…those are rare and as you said usually only in magazines. My buddy had an SS 396 Chevelle and that was a fast car in it’s day!
Just the fact they make 1000+ HP crate engines shows just how good gasoline engines have been engineered! The muscle car era was great music, fast cars and girls. I started playing bass in a band and those are very fond memories!

Got it. I think that line of Chevelle's are some of the prettiest sheet metal ever. Not a fan of all of the customization done there to support the hot rodding but then I'm the guy that cringes when I watch Chip Foose and co. chop/channel/lower cars on "Overhaulin'" (it *just* needed some cleaning up I'll complain to the TV). As a friend of mine says, though, that's why Baskin-Robbins makes 31 flavors. It can be somebody else's jam without being mine. Now that color, oh yeah, that IS my jam.
