Probably 25-30% around here, when I was growing up, and similar from what others would say at the time of earlier times.
And most likely SUV wasn’t used back…
And yeah,we could have been the exception

I would certainly think it would have been different in rural areas and blue-collar areas where trucks were more necessary.

Nowadays, a lot more people buy big trucks and SUVs because they want them, not because they need them. They're indulgences for a lot of people today.

Cast iron coin banks with action. My paternal grandparents had a bunch, and when my grandmother died, all of the grandchildren got one. Here are a few.
Place the coin on his nose, pull his tail, and he'd swallow it.

I got this one: Place the coin in the plate, turn the crank, and the monkey drops it into the slot while tipping his hat and the dancers dance.

Place the coin under the hat, push the button, and the magician drops his hat onto it, making it disappear.

Probably my favorite: Cock the spring-loaded rifle and place the coin on top of the rifle barrel. Move the kid's arm down so that the apple is on top of his head. Press the shooter's foot to fire the coin and knock the apple off of the kid's head.
