FilterFunk said:The pictures of the console stereo and TV....ah, what memories!
Awesome! My father was a designer at Mattel in the early 70's when these things were around. I remember having a box box full of Sizzlers tracks.
I took many a butt whoopin with a piece of this track. It hurt your parents feet when they stepped on it and made for a convient switch to punish the guilty. I'll never forget the sound of that light flexable "ORANGE" racetrack slicing thru the air on its way to putting a sting accross my backside.

And anyone else remember those 75 ohm flat wire to coax tv adaptors for your over the air broadcasts?
I don't remember what they were called,...but they were a short lived toy in the 90's. Like a slot car in 1/24 scale except they were battery powered and not really intended to be replicas of real cars. You could change out the tires on the cars and swap out faster electric motors. The track consisted of a two lane, soft plastic, high walled "chute" and at some point in the circuit there was a crossover where you ran the risk of crashing with your "opponents" car.
Anyone remember these? What where they called?
Also: Toy guns that actually looked like real guns,...except for the orange tip.

Back in the day, if you acted a fool in public, you got dealt with in public. Nowadays, folks are afraid someone will call CPS if they so much as swat their kid's backside a couple times.HaHa! Me too! I guess another thing you don't see much anymore is kids getting their backside whooped.
