When I first joined my band (I was the last member in) I kinda went into it thinking it wouldn't really work. We're all of different age groups (50, 42, 32 and 21), of different upbringings and primarily played completely different styles of music. Despite this, we all found a common style and everything just clicked instantly. We have a fantastic vocalist/guitarist who knows exactly how to command a show, a lead guitarist with exceptional ability and a drummer who is rhythmically spot on and is a dream to play with. We all have day jobs so use rehearsals and gigs as a release. There's a strong sense of camaraderie and although we're serious about our music yet we don't take ourselves too seriously (if that makes sense). Although we rarely socialise outside of rehearsals/gigs we have no problem doing that and can always get along easily without resorting to talking about the band.
