Man, this thread is filling up with some serious non-rock and roll vibes. Soundgarden was an incredible band that nobody saw coming. I first saw them in 1989 and my mind was blown. I wasn't sure how I felt about it, but I knew it was important.

I guess if you can't handle rock and roll, you can always jam out with some Victor Wooten Amazing Grace to cool yourself off.
 
I'm a Soundgarden fan, and Cornell is right up there with Robert Plant in terms of badass, freak-of-nature rock vocalists. Songs like Spoonman, Outshined, Black Hole Sun, and Rusty Cage are classic rockers that helped define an era!

But I say this with all seriousness: That bass height is plain unpractical and made him look like a poseur...which might have been OK if he didn't suck donkey ballz live. Dumbest form-over-function stage fashion choice ever. Maybe we can blame heroin...
