Thinking about getting an EQ pedal to improve my ODB-3

I'm looking for some opinions here...

I use an ODB-3 in my effects loop for a slightly overdriven sound and I really like it. However, I think I can still get a better sound out of it. It was suggested to me by a friend that I should try using an EQ pedal with it to help improve the signal. I've been looking around and I've read a couple of good revies on the GEB-7. What is everyones thoughts? Is an EQ pedal even needed?

I went in to my local guitar store with my effects and tested a couple of pedals. I ended up buying the MXR M87 Bass Compression pedal. I really liked the tone I got out of and found that it made my other effects sound a lot crisper. What's everyone else view on this pedal? Warrior got it spot on, I didn't need to change my EQ as I liked what I already had!
