Thinking about the SWR Henry 8x8 - What do you think ?

I have one set of Neos that were being considered for a lighter weight (GoLite family) version of the cabinet which never happened before Fender shut the brand down.

I'll give ya tree-fiddy for the bunch.

Just for kicks I went to look at it online and there is a note on the cab that says, "The two bottom speakers have patched surrounds. No idea how long they will last."

Still, not a bad deal. @agedhorse might have some original speakers left for that cab.

I just saw that. Wasn't up on site yet and didn't look at back of tag. I will pass. If be interested in the neo set perhaps...

$200.00 with (1) extra new original speaker in its box!

I think I'm going to treat it to a black powder coat on the grill, a new set of nickel screws and vanity washers and do a bit of a reversible pimp job on the logo plate!

Overall...yes, there are no issues, but it's not actually "untouched." Small stuff, but it works perfectly and having a new extra original speaker made it perfect!

The completed job...

Black powder coat grill with a bronze coloration under the correct lighting, four (4) new corners with new nickel screws and washers for mounting. I removed the SWR badge. All in $350 including the extra new 8" Celestian driver in its original shipping box.

This cabinet sounds amazing, is not that hard to move in/out of my backseat and looks great...love it!

Irrc, this can tops out at 480w...which means its very heavy ...although cool looking...for its output.

Nice ideal but unless dead cheap, a decent 210 will take as much power..like an mnt210 and be two thirds lighter.
Plus chassis 20 yrs or so old might be problematic sourcing replacements.

Unless it works perfectly AND they are giving it away, avoid..imv.

It doesn't sound like a 2x10" at any rating, it's 480 watts @ 4 Ohms and isn't getting any lighter. But it is a unique vintage cab that is great if it is working! Thank goodness it's not the only cabinet I've ever used...

The HPF available today is a very welcome device in making the most of this design.
