The maple board P5 and rosewood board P4 basses can cover everything except what the P/J model can do with a blend of the J bridge p/u (or the J p/u soloed).

1. Sell the SR-500. Great all-arounder, good to bring to gigs, but wholly redundant with your stable, and totally common if you ever miss it.

2. Sell the 1991 MIM , swapping back its original pickup of course. Put the 63 vintage pup in #2 or #5.

#6 gives me GAS

I had that exact bass back in the 80's. It really was one I should have kept as a conversation piece. I traded it for a 74 Gibson Les Paul Gold Top Hollow Body Stereo Recording Bass.

Well, I think between 1 and 2 I would do just fine. So that's what I'd keep.

Then I would buy another amp!
