Thinning the herd, What would you keep ?

Now that I see your keepers list , I would sell them all.

This. Large amount of overlap with what you’re keeping. 7 is a lucky number. I’d let all seven go.

If I kept anything it would be the MIJ JB. It’s always good to have one JB in the rack. You’ll get more use out of a Jazz than you might expect. And the MIJs are really nice basses.

If it were me, all I'd keep is the 44-64 and the MIJ jazz.

But for you I'd say, keep the jazz, it's the only on the list. Keep the P5, you obviously like P basses, and you'll probably want it sometime. Keep the 44-01, only if it does something for you the 55-02 doesn't.

So it’s time to thin the heard a bit. I have 7 basses that I may or may not sell. I still have all of the regular players separated out. I thought it would be interesting to see what everyone’s opinions would be, as which to keep or sell and why.

#1- 2016 Fender USA P-5 Standard Maple Black w/ Tort guard
#2- 2011 Fender USA PJ-4 Deluxe 60th Aniversary Sunburst w/ Black Guard
#3- 2010 Ibanez SR-500 Mahogany
#4- 2007 Lakland Korean 44-01 Natural
#5- 2001 Fender USA P-4 Standard Rosewood Black w/ Tort Guard
#6- 1998 Fender MIJ Jazz 24 Flame Maple Burst
#7- 1991 Fender MIM P-4 Standard CAR w/ Black Guard (63 vintage p/u, Badass)

So let’s hear your thoughts.
KEEP THE RICKENBACKER. Oh, you don't have a Rickenbacker?
Get a Rickenbacker.
Sell the rest.

I know this is going to sound like a smart alec remark, but I'd keep the good ones and sell the ok ones. You are the person who is going to know which ones feel and sound the best.

That said, if your Jazz bass isn't a dog, I'd keep that one to complement the stuff on your for sure keeper list.

I’d keep all the USA basses and the Ibby because I have a thing for Mahogany
