this for $55K on the bay

The guy is thinking it's worth that because Semie Mosely (Mosley = Mosrite) built the bass himself and signed it. It's almost like having a Fender built by Leo's own hands. I'm not sure what the bass is worth, honestly, but Mosrites were known to be quality instruments.

If it's legit then it belongs in a rock 'n' roll museum.

To a collector, this would be quite a find. What's it worth? I doubt 5 figures. Still, it is a cool bass with a lot of history. I agree, it should be in the R n' R museum!
Since the Ventures hailed from Washington State, it would be great to see that at The Experience Music Project.

I sold a "vintage" 70's era Mosrite last year on Ebay, starting at $1 with no reserve. I got $600.

There's NO WAY this guy will ever sell this bass for anywhere near the price he's asking.

Also: Mosrite basses and guitsrs are far from what I'd call a quality instrument.

I wouldn`t even pay that much...

I think this is the same seller who sells a lot of these 'vintage' instruments for ridiculous prices. I`m curious as to if this guy ever gets any sales. :rollno:
