I've seen them go up and down. When EH came out with the POG the average price went down a lot.
This is unreal. I sold my G5 for € 200 and my my DI for € 300 six months ago.
BTW I agree with some of you about eBay, it's not the best place to sell anymore.

So its officially surpassed the Bass Whammy in the used market.
I remember when they were getting blown out by Musicians friend for one-tenth of that price.

the trick with rare effects is to find stuff that doesn't have someone famous using it. once someone famous uses it, the price shoots way up. the bass whammy would be worth $100 used if it wasn't for justin chancellor, for example.

I like to believe he's lurking incessantly, hanging on every word.
But maybe he just hasn't discovered our wonderful slice of the internet yet.
chris' tech has been on here a few times so i'm sure he knows it exists. but given a choice of hanging on talkbass or banging a model, what would you do?
Makes me wonder: are there absolutely no substitutes for the sounds this thing produces? None at all? Come on, someone must have found something to imitate this.

I cannot comprehend paying $500 for a Unibass. I think I paid less than $500 total for my HOG and the foot controller (between Microsoft bribing me to use their crappy search engine, and some 20% off sale at Music123). The Unibass was nice when I picked one up for $99 on clearance (got the Deep Impact around the same time for $140) and there was nothing else that did the octave + 5th in such a user friendly way, but the HOG blows it away. Aside from the extra intervals, I use the note hold function quite a bit.
I love my G5.
Its the only pedal I haven't sold from the 90's.
I had a chance to get a deep impact at the MF clearance center here in town years ago when they were "blowing them out the door" but I passed because it just felt "cheap" to me.

what im curious about is, honestly how hard would it be to build a clone from a set of the schematics? has to be much cheaper then $1000 for a pedal
Since its a digital pedal, a clone is impossible unless you could get ahold of the source code.
