This is UNREAL (absurd Akai Deep Impact content)

This ebay auction is ridiculous. I don't believe the winner will pay this kind of money. If you look at the bid history, someone bidded $801 when it was at $152:eyebrow:

Makes perfect sense:
When you bid on something on ebay, you enter in a maximum bid. So the dude who was winning at $152 had entered in a maximum bid of $800. The next guy put in a higher maximum bid, so the price went from $152 straight to $801.

The problem with eBay is that they are totally courting the buyers and care less about sellers.

For example - sellers can NO LONGER leave negative feedback for buyers that don't pay, etc. If you can only leave positive feedback, why bother at all?

I would rather sit with an item on CL for 6 months than give any more of my $$ to evilBay
Yeah, I'm also disappointed that eBay has chosen to throw sellers under the bus. I buy and sell on eBay, and I think buyers and sellers should have equal rights. I'm not ready to call it "evilBay" yet, but I'm getting there!

I live in Japan and was lucky enough to pick up my used DIs for about $100 each shortly after they'd been discontinued. Personally I think they're great units and wouldn't give 'em up easily. When they appear on the bay they seem to be hitting Lovetone + levels of stupidity but they do appear over here from time to time. I've had a nosey around just now without much luck ~ there are a couple of Unibass rigs available, one at around $300, and I'll surely put a flag up if I should see any DIs around in the near future.
Certainly wouldn't hold my breath for Akai to re-release though. Admittedly I've only heard rumours but all things point to the DI being sent to Room 101 for eternity.....
